We believe the church should be on the front lines when it comes to serving our community.
Feel ready to make a difference with us? Check out one of these opportunities to love your neighbors:
You don’t have to go far to discover chronically hungry children in our world. The truth is, there are children in our own backyard who will go hungry this weekend! We have partnered with Lafayette-Lanier Elementary and Bob Harding Shawmut Elementary to provide for children we know will be without food during non-school hours. Check out our Backpack Buddies page for more information on how to help!
Sav-A-Life’s mission is to help men and women embrace the truth of God’s Word as they make life-affirming decisions about their unborn child. As expectant mothers and fathers walk in the door of Sav-A-Life, they are met by Christ-followers who are trained to help them choose life and share the Gospel with them. Sav-A-Life can always use willing hearts to support their ministry! Contact Machelle Hall for information. Check out their website for more about this ministry.
Each year we host a Community Easter Egg Hunt and activities at the Valley Fall Festival, and Valley Kids’ Camp to kick off the Summer.
Chambers County DHR
Every year our county takes numerous children into foster care due to abuse, neglect, and parental drug use. Has God positioned your family to shelter one of these little ones for a time, or maybe even forever? Training classes are held at our church regularly. Several of our church families have fostered, and/or adopted children out of foster care. If you have questions about the process or what fostering or adoption is really like we would be happy to connect you with them. Contact Nathan with questions or for more information.
Additionally, there are numerous elderly men and women in our county who have few resources and no loved ones to provide a kind work or loving touch. If you are interested in volunteering to help with a needy elderly person in our county, contact Julia Hyde.
