5 years ago our church decided to relocate.
Several reasons led to this major decision. First, our church was growing and we needed more space. But due to the landscape around us, there was no way to simply add on. Second, our parking situation was, and still is, not what it could be. Our parking is disjointed and inconvenient at best, but at worst it’s dangerous since some of our available parking spaces are across the street from the church requiring attendees to cross busy Highway 29.
So after much deliberation, consideration, and prayer, our church voted to look for land in order to build a new church building.
The next part of the process took years. Parcel of land after parcel of land was considered, and one section was even voted on and turned down before a lot was purchased in December of 2014. But God was faithful to lead us to primo piece of real estate in the heart of Valley, just off Hwy 29 near Walmart, bought at an unbelievably good price. We were able to write a check for the property, so we now own it free and clear!
Since that time, the Long Range Planning Committee has been working tirelessly with an architect on the building design. It’s been a long and involved process, but every aspect of the building will be designed with our particular ministry in mind. We voted to accept these plans on October 4!
Now our church launches into raising funds toward our new building. Our goal at this time is $425,000.
